the conductor.
APPROACH
Mycelium can transport nutrients between different plants or trees. Mycelium is the vegetative part of a fungus or fungus-like bacterial colony, consisting of a mass of branching, thread-like hyphae. The mass of hyphae is sometimes called shiro. These images are inspired by the articles and ideas of scientists and the natural world.
LEARN FROM NATURE
“Nature is fascinating to me. I am a lifetime student of studying the way nature grows and works. The master design and function of it all. There is a vast amount of things we can be taught by the way nature designs.”
FORM AND FUNCTION
We used computer vision (CGI) to generate the vegetation, mosses, and soil. Mushrooms grow a particular way because they have a function to perform within nature. We wanted to take inspiration from this.
